Enable AI

Developed a True Accessibility AI solution that adapts user interfaces and interactions to meet individual needs. The project was carried out during the Proxify AI Business Value Hackathon, aiming to increase inclusion and efficiency for Samhall’s employees.

Inefficiency and Lack of Accessibility
Samhall (whose mission is to create jobs for people with disabilities) faced two main problems: Inefficient Managers: Managers manually handle large number request including sick leave, which was stressful and time-consuming.
Difficult Instructions: Employees with disabilities struggled to follow long, text-based work instructions. This dual challenge hindered both efficiency and inclusion in the workplace.
User Stories and Solution in 16 Hours
The project was conducted during an intensive hackathon. The process focused on rapid problem definition (based on observed pain points), conceptual design, and high-fidelity prototyping in Figma. Iteration was immediate, with a focus on delivering maximum business value through AI solutions.
– Insight 1 (Clear Support): Need for clear, immediate, and accessible support for employees
– Insight 2 (Centralization): Managers need a central place for all events/requests instead of fragmented messages
– Insight 3 (Visual Guidance): Solutions must be adaptable and visual/step-by-step to replace hard-to-follow text documents
Enable AI: Two Core Features
We developed Enable AI, a true accessibility solution that adapts the interface to user needs. The solution eliminates inefficient processes for both employees and managers through two core features.
– Event Reporting: Employees can immediately report events (sick leave, late arrivals) via AI chat, without phone calls. Managers receive all information centralized. – Step-by-Step Guides: The AI provides employees with dynamic, step-by-step guidance for tasks instead of forcing them to read long instruction texts.
– Value for Managers: Significant time savings as AI proactively handles and centralizes employee requests – Value for Employees: Reduced stress through personalized and accessible support, making tasks easier to perform
I learned how quickly UX design can deliver tangible business value by focusing on inclusion. A solution designed for the most challenged users (True Accessibility) often provides the greatest efficiency gains for the entire organization.
The solution is ready for MVP development. The next step would be pilot testing at Samhall workplaces to quantify exact time savings for managers and measure perceived stress reduction among employees.
